The instant of greatest eclipse takes place on -1385 Jun 04 at 06:22:55 TD (21:18:30 UT1). This is 0.5 days after the Moon reaches apogee. During the eclipse, the Sun is in the constellation Gemini. The synodic month in which the eclipse takes place has a Brown Lunation Number of -40909.
The eclipse belongs to Saros 15 and is number 66 of 75 eclipses in the series. All eclipses in this series occur at the Moons ascending node. The Moon moves southward with respect to the node with each succeeding eclipse in the series and gamma decreases.
This annular eclipse is unsual in that it does NOT have a southern path limit. Instead, one edge of the antumbral shadow falls off into space throughout the eclipse. Gamma has a value of -0.9810.
The annular solar eclipse of -1385 Jun 04 is followed two weeks later by a total lunar eclipse on -1385 Jun 18.
