Introduction
The Partial Lunar Eclipse of 1999 Jul 28 is visible from the following geographic regions:

The instant of greatest eclipse takes place on 1999 Jul 28 at 11:34:46 TD (11:33:43 UT1). This is 5.2 days after the Moon reaches apogee. During the eclipse, the Moon is in the constellation Capricornus. The synodic month in which the eclipse takes place has a Brown Lunation Number of 947.
The eclipse belongs to Saros 119 and is number 60 of 82 eclipses in the series. All eclipses in this series occur at the Moons descending node. The Moon moves northward with respect to the node with each succeeding eclipse in the series and gamma increases.
The partial lunar eclipse of 1999 Jul 28 is followed two weeks later by a total solar eclipse on 1999 Aug 11.
These eclipses all take place during a single eclipse season.
